Randy Crawford

Retired American jazz and R&B singer (born Veronica Crawford; February 18, 1952)

Crawford signed with Columbia Records and released her first single, "Knock On Wood" in 1972. UK audiences first heard her providing guest vocals on the Crusaders song, "Street Life" in 1979 and from then until 1983, Crawford released several singles but her biggest hits were "One Day I'll Fly Away" (1981, #2, Silver) "You Might Need Somebody" (1981, #11). After a short break, she scored a #4 in 1986 with "Almaz".

Randy Crawford retired in 2018 after suffering a stroke.
