Black Lace

British pop band formed in 1973, best known for novelty party records.

The band first came to the public eye after being selected to represent the UK in the 1979 Eurovision Song Contest, in which they finished seventh. The band had numerous line-up changes, with Colin Gibb being the longest serving original member, until retiring in 2024.

Their first album was released on Telstar in 1984 when the band was credited just as Alan Barton and Colin Routh.
